Chalkhill Farm has been working with young people for 10 years. We pride ourselves on the environment we provide and the tailored programmes we can offer students.
We are predominantly an engagement facility, working with disengaged young people who cannot or will not attend mainstream education.
Our students are usually referred to us as part of their alternative provision, studying maths and English at other centres while coming to us for help with social and life skills or to improve their practical skills and their chances of later employment.
We can offer Progressive Riding Tests which are accredited to The British Horse Society.
We also offer courses tailored to the needs of individual students. We combine a selection of AQA units which can vary at pre entry level, entry level and level 1.
The farm is based in a quiet, rural setting on the outskirts of Canterbury.
We have various animals which students use either for therapy or to help them learn new skills.
On site we have:
a wildlife area
a small growing area
goats and a cow
